Degree Programme Admission Requirements:
GCE A Level: three GCE A levels at grades A*AA, combining Mathematics with at least one of Biology, Chemistry or Physics.
IB Diploma: 39 points with a score of 19 points in three higher level subjects, including grade 6 in Mathematics and at least one of Biology, Chemistry or Physics, with no score lower than 5.

Students from certain backgrounds may qualify for a lower, contextual, offer through the Access UCL scheme.
Stream Specific Entry Requirements:
- Chemistry
All Chemistry streams require at least a grade A in Chemistry GCE A level, at least a 6 at higher level IB or equivalent.
- Earth Sciences
Geoscience stream recommends Physics GCE AS level or equivalent.
- Life Sciences
Molecular and Cell Biology stream requires at least a grade A in GCE A level Chemistry, at least a 6 at higher level IB or equivalent and recommends Biology to at least GCE AS level or equivalent.
Biomedical Sciences & Neuroscience and Psychology streams recommend at least GCE AS Chemistry and Biology or equivalent.
Genetics and Evolution stream requires at least a grade A in Biology GCE A level, at least a 6 at higher level IB or equivalent and recommends Chemistry to at least GCE AS level or equivalent .
- Mathematics and Statistics
The Mathematics and Statistics stream recommends Further Mathematics to at least GCE AS level or equivalent.
- Physics
All Physics streams require at least a grade A in Physics at GCE A level, at least a 6 at higher level IB or equivalent.
- Science and Technology Studies
Science and Technology Studies streams have no specific requirements.
