Carmen Salvadores Fernandez

Biography

I was born in Leon (Spain) in 1997, and started my studies of Mechanical Engineering (MEng) in UCL in September 2015. In September 2019, I was awarded the "la Caixa" fellowship and I started my PhD in Mechanical Engineering. I am now in my 3rd year of PhD.

Research summary

I am a PhD student at the WEISS centre and I am part of the Nanoengineered Systems Lab of UCL, with Prof. Manish K. Tiwari as my supervisor. My research focuses on the design of advanced nanocomposites for flexible electronics, tactile systems and monitoring devices for healthcare applications.
