The Nahrein Network was directed by Professor Eleanor Robson at UCL History. It fostered interdisciplinary, Iraqi-centred research on the sustainable development of Iraqi history and heritage.

The Network was funded by an AHRC-GCRF Network+ grant in 2017-21, then by generous philanthropic gift to UCL in 2021-25. The Network has now closed and is no longer offering grants or scholarships.
