Biography

Liverpool timber merchant and slave-trader.

  1. Will of Thomas Moss merchant of Liverpool proved 11/05/1805. He had he said given £10,000 to his son John and £5000 each on his daughters Margaret and Ellen upon their respective marriages, and he accordingly left £10,000 each to his other two children, Henry and James. He then left a further £10,000 to each of his sons and £7000 to each of his two daughters. He had a share in a lead works in Liverpool which he left to his sons with one half of his quarter share of the profit to go to his wife.
