Richard Dawkins of Clarendon

Son of William Dawkins of Jamaica (d. 1694). Married Elizabeth Masters. His father received 1,775 acres in land patents between 1669 and 1682: "After he was killed fighting against the French invaders in 1694, his estate descended to his son Richard." Richard received patents for a further 1,300 acres in Clarendon.

Member of Assembly for Clarendon 1679, 1688, 1693.

Total value of estate at probate: £6659.68 Jamaican currency of which £2754 currency was the value of enslaved people. Estate valuation included £928.74 currency cash, £0 currency debts and £186.4 currency plate.
