Biography

  1. Will of Timothy Hare of St Christopher, Leeward Islands made in 1723 an attested in 1727] proved 21/05/1730. He left 10,000 pounds of sugar to 'my beloved friend Mrs Margarett Taylor which [sic] now lives with me', together with named enslaved people for life, and household effects. He left his nephew Henry Earle £200 p.a., on condition that Henry Earle signed a release of his interest in or claim to a tract of land in Basseterre quarter known as Lagarrigues plantation and to a share in an estate near the Cayon Hills known as Ogees. He left the estates themselves to his nephew Timothy Earle.
