Biography

Widow of James Virgo Dunn (q.v.), awarded part of the compensation for the Chester estate in Trelawney as devisee-in-fee of James Virgo Dunn: the rest of the compensation was awarded to John Kenyon (q.v.), whom she described as her nephew in her will in 1839. 

  1. Will of James Virgo Dunn 'of No. 10 Devonshire Street Portland Place' proved 23/11/1820; will of Elizabeth Dunn widow of 32 Montague Square  proved 06/07/1839. In her will she left £1000 each to her nephews John and Edward Kenyon and John Simpson, her nieces Amelia Louisa and Eleanor Simpson (the son and daughters respectively of her brother John Simpson) and her niece Mary daughter of her sister Rachael. She also left £500 to John Thomas Simpson of Liverpool, merchant, reputed son of her brother John Simpson. In the will of John Kenyon in 1856, Kenyon made provision of £300 to maintain Curteis family graves and that of James Virgo Dunn in Leamington Churchyard.
