Weronika C

I am a PhD student at the Faculty of Laws, working under the supervision of Professor Jane Holder.

My research project is a legal-geographical investigation of urban agriculture, and its working title is ‘Allotments, Community Gardens, and the Law’. My goal is to understand how environmental law can be used to support and scale up sustainable and transformative practices. I am supported by the Faculty’s Research Scholarship.

I hold an LLB (1st class) and an LLM in Environmental Law and Policy (Distinction) from UCL. I wrote my Bachelor’s thesis about spatial injustices enabled by Environmental Impact Assessment.  My Master’s thesis analysed whether participatory budgeting in Warsaw can be considered an institutionalisation of the right to the city.
