On Tuesday 21st January, Professor Piet Eeckhout (Dean of UCL Laws and Academic Director of the UCL European Institute), participated in an exciting panel discussion on ‘Trade policy in turbulent times: The way ahead’. The panellists discussed why these are turbulent times for international trade; the way forward for EU trade policy in light of these tensions in trade relations; and the possible solutions for salvaging global and European rules-based trade.

The discussion was followed by a question and answer session, and was moderated by Iana Dreyer (Founder and Chief Editor of Borderlex).

The panel was part of Trade Policy Day, organised by the Committee on International Trade at the European Parliament in Brussels, Belgium.
