On Tuesday 8 December, UCL Faculty of Laws formally welcomed Lord Carnwath as Honorary Professor of Law. The occasion was marked by an online ‘in conversation’ event between Lord Carnwath and Professor Eloise Scotford, Professor of Environmental Law and member of the Faculty’s Centre for Law and Environment.

Lord Carnwath shared his reflections on the history of UK environmental law and his part in it; his time at the UK Supreme Court; and the future directions of environmental law - including the challenges of climate change.
