Professor Jane Holder partners' inquiry into building development and wellbeing of local residents

12 September 2017

Jane Holder
Jane Holder, Professor in Environmental Law at UCL Laws, is working with Professor Muki Haklay, UCL Transport Institute, and a number of local organisations to investigate whether past, present and future building development in the Somers Town and Euston areas is impacting the health of residents.

Local members of the community are invited to a series of events, organised by Voluntary Action CamdenSomers Town Neighbourhood ForumEnvironmental Law Foundation and UCL Grand Challenges, to be held on 20 and 27 September and 4 October 2017, to submit evidence on health and wellbeing.

The events, chaired by David Hart QC, Chair of the Environmental Law Foundation, will focus on environmental problems such as loss of green spaces and trees poor air quality and noise pollution, arising from large scale infrastructure and housing development in the nearby Somers Town and Euston area.

The information collated from residents will form part of a co-authored report based on the inquiry evidence and representations, to be published in December 2017 and submitted to Camden Borough Council.
