Guillermo García Moscoso - LLM Environmental Law and Policy 2014

Why did you choose to study at UCL Laws?

I studied the LLM Environmental Law and Policy at UCL Laws, graduating in 2014.

I wanted to study at UCL Laws due to the strength of the environmental law programme, and for the chance to study in London.

What is your fondest memory of your time here?

The best memory I have inside the classroom is to have spent time with truly incredible academics, and lovely people, such as Jane Holder, Rick Rawlings and Richard Macrory. Every lecture was an opportunity to share ideas and learn as I never did before.

How would you describe the student social life at UCL?

During the LLM, I also enjoyed a lot of activities, from the Dean’s Welcome Party, held at the start of every academic year, until the very last BBQ at London Fields, at the end of term. I met a lot of amazing people among my classmates and I have kept in touch with many. Some of them have visited me in Chile and I have kept travelling the world to see my friends when possible.

What have you gone on to do since graduating?

Since graduating, I have returned to my law firm in Chile (Barros & Errázuriz Abogados) and now I’m doing a secondment at Miranda & Amado Abogados, a Peruvian law firm, which is member of an alliance (Affinitas) with my Chilean firm, and other firms in Colombia and Mexico.
