After I graduated, I worked at Linklaters in their environment and climate change team in London for three years, and then accepted a position with the UN Development Programme in New York as an environmental law and policy specialist. I was posted in New York for seven years, and then Bangkok for three years. Currently I am the Head of International Environmental Law for the United Nations Environment Programme and I’m based at our global HQ in Nairobi. I have the best job in the world!
The advice I’d give to current students would be: make the absolute most of your time at UCL, especially in building a network of talented friends that will be with you for life. This is rewarding enough as it is, but they will also be amazing allies in building and supporting your career.
