Update 6pm 6 September: Portico in full operation - Friday 3 September

Update 6pm 6 September

Following the weekend changes and continued monitoring of performance Portico is now operating at normal capacity. We apologise for the disruption to the service over the last week. Please continue to report any degradation in the service to the IT Services Desk.


Update 9pm 3 September

The maintenance carried out this evening has been successfully completed. We will continue to monitor the service over the weekend and into Monday morning. If you have any issues  logging into or using Portico please report them to the IT Services desk.


Update 12pm 3 September

Due to essential maintenance, the following services will be unavailable for 90 minutes from 7 pm on Friday 3 September:
•    Portico
•    Graduate Applicant Portal
•    Payonline
•    SITS client

Apologies for the inconvenience caused. 


Update 5pm 2 September

Portico has remained in stable operation throughout the day. We will continue to monitor performance to maintain service reliability. If you are having any issues logging into or using Portico please report them to the IT Services desk.


Update 11am 2 September

Portico has remained in stable operation overnight and this morning. We will continue to monitor performance to maintain service reliability. If you are having any issues logging into or using Portico please report them to the IT Services desk.


Update 5:15pm 1 September

Portico has remained in stable operation throughout the day. We will continue to monitor performance to maintain service reliability. If you are having any issues logging into or using Portico please report them to the IT Services desk.


Update 9am 1 September

Portico has remained in stable operation overnight and is fully operational. We will continue to monitor performance throughout today and will provide a further update this afternoon. If you have any problems using Portico please report them to the IT Services desk.


Update 5:30pm

We have continued to note issues with Portico availability this afternoon. Services have been restarted and should be available. We will continue to monitor the performance of Portico for the rest of today and work to maintain an operational service.

We apologise for the ongoing disruption.


Update 4pm 31 August 2021

Portico is now coming back into operation and should be available again for all users. If you are still having issues accessing the service then try again in 30-60 mins.

A series of blank emails were also sent out to some students as a result of the problems earlier this afternoon. An updated email will be sent out in due course.

We apologise for the disruption caused. 


We are currently experiencing issues with Portico. Some users are still able to access the system but are experiencing poor performance.

We are investigating this issues as a high priority.
