Indigo: add a box around text

You can add a box around text on a page to make it stand out from the rest of the page.

    This guide is aimed at...

    • Staff
    • IT Administrators

    Before you start...

    You will need to have Chief Editor, Editor or Author access in Silva;
    You will need to have attended Silva Intro and, preferably, Silva Plus training.

    1. Avoid using Internet Explorer when editing;
    2. Log on to the relevant website by adding /edit at the end of the web address or clicking on the small cross at the bottom of the page.


    Step 1

    1. Create a Silva document with the text around which you would like to put a box - the top of the box will have the same colour as your banner
    2. Give it a suitable name e.g text-for-box
    3. Hide the Silva document in Properties
    4. Save and publish the Silva document

    Step 2

    1. Place your cursor where you want the box to appear on the page
    2. Choose add a box around text from the external code sources
    3. Click on add external source
    4. Click on the get reference button to locate the page with the text
    5. Click on add external source
    6. Save and publish the page with the box
    7. Preview
