Sharing a folder in Outlook Web Access (OWA)

You can give permissions to other live @ UCL users to open your folder(s). This guide explains how.

Before you start...

Check your browser compatibility to ensure you meet the minimum requirements for using OWA.

Instructions

Important: If you need to grant Delegate Access to an individual (to manage your calendar invitations and mailbox items for example), set these permissions using Outlook. Instructions can be found on the Set Delegate Access using Outlook 2016 for Windows How-To guide.

1. Right-mouse-click on the required folder within the left-hand folder list. Select Permissions...

2. A window labelled 'Permissions for the [folder name] folder' will appear. Select Add (visible as a plus (+) icon) to add a user.

3. Enter the user's name or email address within the provided search field and select the correct result from the list. Select Add.

4. The user has now be added to the permission group of the specified folder. To customise the level of access for this user, change the permission level within the Permissions section of the 'Permissions for the [folder name] folder' window. Select OK within this window to apply the changes.
