Are public sector CEOs different? Pay for performance and salary inequality in schools
Join this event to hear Shqiponja Telhaj discuss how leadership salaries become strongly connected to publicly observable school performance measures.

Event recording
This seminar explores rich administrative data on the salaries of school leaders in England over twenty years and how introducing salary setting reforms led to headteacher salaries becoming more closely tied to school performance, while also raising pay inequalities within the school.
This event will be particularly useful for researchers, teachers, schools and policy makers.
Please note this is a hybrid event and can be joined either in-person or online.
