The paradigms include: the Binary model, the Multidimensional model and the Cultural Intelligence model.

He will assesses the relative strengths and weaknesses of the East versus West framework against the multi-parameter scales developed by Milton Bennett and Erin Meyer. He will then examine the idea of Cultural Intelligence, and recent developments toward the use of diagnostic tools to assess the sensibility and adaptability of individuals in global workplaces.

The seminar will conclude by examining how the notion of difference has evolved in intercultural communication theory and the complex intersections between the intercultural and the interpersonal.

This event will be particularly useful for educators and researchers working in intercultural communication.

Please note this is a hybrid event and can be joined either in-person or online.
