In this seminar, Fotini and Jennifer will explore how language learners compare, revise, and collaborate with others to move plurilingual and pluricultural spaces forward and place new language and cultural contexts within reach for others.

They will also talk about an innovative task design model for mediation and intercultural communicative competence.


The online event will be particularly useful for languages teachers, educators, researchers and curriculum leads.

Dr Jennifer Eddy

Associate Professor and Programme Director of World Language Education at Queens College, City University of New York

Her research and programme focus on authentic assessment and transfer for articulated curriculum design.

Dr Fotini Diamantidaki

Associate Professor and Deputy Programme Leader of the Intercultural Communication MA at UCL IOE

Her research and teaching focus on intercultural communication in language learning with a focus on critical and experiential pedagogies.
