Shiraz is a UCL alumni who completed his Masters in Education and International Development in 2004. In this session, he will reflect on his current role with UNICEF, specifically looking at the war in Gaza and the refugee influx arising from the Sudan civil war.

Shiraz will also speak about his broader career with UNICEF and the current trends in development education.


This event will be particularly useful for academics, researchers, students and people working in education in conflict situations.

Please note this is a hybrid event and can be joined either in-person or online.
