Cooperation between schools and Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) is a growing trend in global learning, and a phenomenon that has a long and interesting history.

Because enabling learning is the primary objective of schools, NGOs with a focus on global learning are naturally keen to enlist them as cooperation partners. And for schools, NGOs might be attractive partners for achieving engagement with civil society, as well as for assisting in delivering teaching on complex topics.

This webinar will reflect on the conditions for fruitful cooperation that promotes meaningful learning. Against the background of two empirical studies on NGO-school cooperation, conditions for the success of such cooperative endeavours will be described and critically discussed.

This event will be particularly useful for those interested in global learning, NGOs, climate change education and sustainable development education.
