Tariq works at the intersections of human geography, South Asian studies and postcolonial and critical theory. In broad terms, his research explores the spatial constitutions of nation, identity and belonging in South Asian contexts, especially in Sri Lanka, as well as the challenges of engaging non-western contexts.

  • Dr Aparna Kumar
Aparna is a Lecturer in Art and Visual Cultures of the Global South in the UCL History of Art Department. Her interests include modern and contemporary South Asian art; Islamic art in South Asia; colonial photography; twentieth-century partition history; museum studies; repatriation politics; postcolonial theory and criticism; object mobilities; and cross-border methodologies.

  • Dr Jagjeet Lally
Jagjeet is an Associate Professor of the History of Early Modern and Colonial India within the UCL History Department. His first book, India and the Silk Roads.
