In Stockholm, there were 2,311 deaths from colon cancer over the study period (2000 - 2007). This figure consists of 1,077 male deaths and 1,234 female deaths and is based on register data from Statistics Sweden linked to death records from the Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare.
