Madrid: Pharyngeal Cancer

In Madrid, there were 1,145 deaths from pharyngeal cancer over the study period (2000 - 2007).  This figure consists of 899 male deaths and 246 female deaths and is based on data from the Mortality Registry of Madrid.  The spatial distribution of mortality due to pharyngeal cancer in Madrid is demonstrated in the maps below for men only.  Women have been excluded from this analysis, as female deaths from pharyngeal cancer did not occur in at least 30 percent of Madrid's small areas during the study period.  For further information about how these maps were created, please visit the methodological section of the Atlas.
