London: Ischaemic Heart Disease

In London, there were 83,263 deaths from ischaemic heart disease (diseases associated with the blood vessels supplying the heart) over the study period (2000 - 2008).  This figure consists of 46,903 male deaths and 36,360 female deaths and is based on data from the Office for National Statistics.  The spatial distribution of mortality due to ischaemic heart disease in London is demonstrated in the maps below, shown separately for men and women.  For further information about how these maps were created, please visit the methodological section of the Atlas.
