London: Cerebrovascular Disease

In London, there were 43,934 deaths from cerebrovascular disease (diseases associated with the blood vessels supplying the brain) over the study period (2000 - 2008).  This figure consists of 17,654 male deaths and 26,280 female deaths and is based on data from the Office for National Statistics.  The spatial distribution of mortality due to cerebrovascular disease in London is demonstrated in the maps below, shown separately for men and women.  For further information about how these maps were created, please visit the methodological section of the Atlas.
