Brussels: Homicide

In Brussels, there were 89 homicides over the study period (2001 - 2004).  This figure consists of 50 male deaths and 39 female deaths and is based on death certificate records linked to Census data.  The spatial distribution of homicide mortality in Brussels is demonstrated in the maps below for men only.  Women have been excluded from this analysis, as female homicides did not occur in at least 30 percent of Brussels' small areas during the study period.  For further information about how these maps were created, please visit the methodological section of the Atlas.
