Brussels: Diabetes Mellitus

In Brussels, there were 395 deaths from diabetes mellitus over the study period (2001 - 2004).  This figure consists of 177 male deaths and 218 female deaths and is based on death certificate records linked to Census data.  The spatial distribution of mortality due to diabetes mellitus in Brussels is demonstrated in the maps below, shown separately for men and women.  For further information about how these maps were created, please visit the methodological section of the Atlas.
