The Pears Building has won a prestigious RIBA Award. This state-of-the-art building is the new home to the laboratories of the Institute of Immunity and Transplantation (Division of Infection & Immunity, Faculty of Medical Sciences at UCL). Opened in 2020 and designed by Hopkins Architects, the Pears Building is a world-class research centre bringing together leading scientists, academic clinicians, and clinical trials specialists from all over the world to develop revolutionary treatments and therapies for patients. It also houses the offices of the Royal Free Charity associated with the adjacent Royal Free Hospital, and a 35-bed hotel for patients.

Judged and presented locally, RIBA Regional Awards celebrate great architecture across the UK. You can read more about it in the RIBA Regional Awards website.
