UCL Staff categories

UCL staff contract categories

To allow UCL to fulfil its obligation to identify and report on particular categories of staff (for example for REF or HESA purposes) the following Staff Categories are applied to each and every contract on HR system.

Academics
Guidance:
This category is for Non-Clinical and clinical academic staff, Lecturer, Reader and Professor. Teaching only appointments, such as UCL Teaching Fellows, must go into the teaching category.

Departmental reports on Infoview

Departments can access on-demand HR data on Infoview portal. This is only avaliable to staff with DA or DC roles. For more information please email hr_reports@ucl.ac.uk.
