Pay scale and pay premia information for Junior Doctors and Dentists in training.
London allowance is payable to those working in London, and in spaces immediately bordering London, such as Dorking and Wickford at the following rates:
- £5,000 per annum (points 1 to 5) with effect from 1 December 2023
- £4,500 per annum (points 6 onwards) with effect from 1 August 2023.

Point 10 on the UCL StR pay scale is the top point of the corresponding NHS StR pay scale. Therefore, employees in receipt of NHS Banding Supplements will have these payments capped at point 10.
