As part of UCL’s Accelerate to Leadership ‘Inspirational Leaders Series,’ the EDI team invites you to join our online session on Thursday, 20 April 2023.

We will be joined by Loleta Fahad, the Director of Organisational Development (Interim) at University College London. In this session, Loleta will share details of her career progression at UCL, including some of the challenges, her success stories, and practical advice on how staff can utilise the resources available at UCL to support their ongoing professional development.

About the Speaker

Loleta Fahad is the Director of Organisational Development (Interim) at University College London and is Co-Chair of Astrea, the network for women in Professional Services. Loleta is responsible for managing, developing, and implementing resources that support the ongoing development, progression, and retention of professional services staff at UCL. She has had a varied career at UCL, starting in Research Administration and working through successive roles to her current position in Organisational Development.

Loleta recently published a book titled ‘Inspirational Women in Academia: Supporting Careers and Improving Minority Representation.’ The book is ideal reading for those interested in improving the representation, progression, and success of Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic staff within Higher Education.
