Syed Ahsan: Finance and HR Administrator

I am the first point of contact for the History Department’s Operational activities. This includes finance, HR and estates. For finance, I manage the day-to-day financial administration in the department and support colleagues across our extensive portfolio of research and departmental projects. For HR, I lead the recruitment process in the TalentLink Platform and process most of the transactional IDs in MyHR. For estates, I provide support for the building related activities.

I also enjoy spending time with plants. After nurturing them, the resulting fruit or flower received from them gives me a sense of accomplishment. Personally, I think this is very soothing and therapeutic.
