Alexander Good

Alexander is researching the cult of saints in western Europe in the Middle Ages. His PhD thesis is on Lazarus, the man Christ raised from the dead. It will ask how did his cult emerge in the West and to what purpose? Does seeing Lazarus as a model of holiness assist in understanding medieval ideas of history, power and identity?

Alexander obtained his BA in History from Oxford University in 1978 and his MA in Medieval and Renaissance Studies at UCL in 2016. In between he worked as a television journalist and architect.
