The event will begin with a lecture by Professor Ben Kaplan, who currently holds the Dutch History Chair, on “Freedom of Conscience, Dutch-Style” in the Tuck Lecture Theatre. The lecture will be followed by the presentation of Professor Kaplan's new book to the Dutch Ambassador, His Excellency Simon Smits, and a reception which will take place in the South Cloisters.
Details:
- The event will take place on Tuesday 22nd October 2019, 6pm - 8pm.
- The lecture (starting at 6pm) will take place in the Gustave Tuck Lecture Theatre. Guests will then move to the South Cloisters for the reception.
- This event is open to the public, and anyone with an interest in Dutch Studies is welcome to attend.
- This event is one of many taking place throughout 2019 as part of the “UCL Dutch 100” series of celebrations to mark100 years of Dutch Studies at UCL.
