The Mayor of London's Low Carbon Entrepreneur has returned to find more student-led sustainable business ideas. And London City Hall is looking for ambassadors to promote the competition.

This is a chance to engage others at UCL about the competition, boost your CV and spread the word about sustainable entrepreneurship.

What is the Mayor of London's Low Carbon Entrepreneur?

The competition looks for student ideas to make London a better place to live and work. There’s a £20,000 prize fund to develop the winning idea(s) and also up to 6 paid internships with sponsor Siemens available to students who apply.

The competition is now open and will close in mid-February 2015, so there's loads of time to come up with an idea. One of last year’s winners has already used their £5,000 to launch their 'Solarbox' scheme.

What would I do as an ambassador?

The ambassador role is all about telling other students at UCL about the competition. Posters and leaflets will be provided to help you spread the word and there'll also be free training at City Hall. All you have to do to sign up is email the team with:

  • your Name
  • institution
  • course title
  • email address
  • mobile number
  • term time address
