The RSPB's Big Garden Birdwatch occurs every year at the end of January in Britain and is the world's biggest bird survey.

For the 39th year more than half a million people will settle down beside their windows, armed with a cup of tea, a pencil and notebook, and perhaps a pair of binoculars. They will remain poised in their seats for exactly one hour, eyes trained on the slightest feathery movement in their gardens.

The Big Garden Birdwatch is important because it allows the RSPB to monitor trends and helps to understand how birds are faring at a time when wildlife is facing a tough time.

Request your free pack here to participate at home OR do the birdwatch with UCL's Conservation Group in Russel Square Gardens and gain expert knowledge on the birds you're seeing! (We're doing both!)

So please join to learn about urban bird-life, meet people and get some fresh air!

Please email Sarah Lawson for any queries.
