Funding of up to £20,000 is now available for work that supports the development, or study, of responsible innovation

The Grand Challenge of Transformative Technology (GCTT) Responsible Innovation Award seeks to support innovative interdisciplinary and cross-boundary projects. This call is for work that supports the development of technology that can lead to positive societal outcomes as well as for work that considers the impacts that technology has on society.
- Funding
Applications for projects costing up to £20,000 will be considered under this call. Due to the UCL fiscal year end, all funding must be spent, and expenses must be identified and invoiced, by 31st July 2024.
- Eligibility
The special call is open to brand-new collaborations and ideas and applications that build on previous Grand Challenges funded projects and collaborations.
First Applicants must be UCL staff – either researchers in academic Faculties or Professional Services.
Second Applicants can be either UCL staff (researchers in academic Faculties or Professional Services) or external partners – either academic (i.e. at another university) or non-academic (e.g. at a policy, third sector, charity, community, or business organisation).
