Transformative Technology
Transformative Technology funds cross-disciplinary work at UCL and with partner organisations, with a focus on priority themes of food, disability innovation, social impacts of new technology, data for good, and nature-inspired engineering. Led by scholars from UCL’s Engineering and Science & Technology Studies
departments, it aims to foster engagement from across the university and create new collaborations that produce real-world impact.
Impact
Launched in 2016, the Grand Challenge of Transformative Technology looks at how innovation and technology can have far-reaching benefits for society and the planet.
So far, Transformative Technology has awarded over £86,000 in funding to 30 projects.
