The new Grand Challenges theme of 'Data-Empowered Societies' aims to support UCL experts to leverage the transformative power of data in a wide range of fields to address complex societal challenges. We need your help to map out the areas that the new theme should focus on, whether it is developing data-driven solutions to societal problems, understanding who is disadvantaged by technological advancements or managing the impacts of AI adoption.
This workshop is an opportunity to hear from UCL experts, exchange ideas, and shape the new Grand Challenge theme. You will also learn about what the role of Pro-Vice Provost for the Data Empowered Societies theme entails for those that may be interested in applying when the role is advertised in May.
Join us for a networking lunch ahead of a 90 min workshop session at 2pm. The workshop will be followed by a 30 min networking session to meet other academics and the Grand Challenge team.
