2021 Graduation Ceremonies
UCL has been exploring whether we can come together to celebrate your graduation safely in person in 2021. Many of you will be looking for certainty, so that you can book travel and accommodation for yourself and your family and friends who wish to celebrate with you.
Unfortunately, the course of the pandemic remains difficult to predict and it is not clear when Government guidance will allow us to hold in-person events again, or if we will be living with social distancing measures later in the year. Given this uncertainty, we have decided to postpone in-person ceremonies until 2022, and students who are due to graduate in 2021 will be invited to a virtual ceremony this year. The virtual ceremony will allow an opportunity to come together to recognise of your achievements and to celebrate with your faculty and peers.
We appreciate that this will be disappointing news, but we hope the global situation will have improved by then, and this will give you more confidence when you are making plans to join us in London.
We hope all students who have already graduated in 2020 and those students who are due to graduate in 2021 will be able to join us for a very special in-person event in 2022 when we can come together and celebrate your time at UCL and your graduation.
