SIREN (Sarscov2 Immunity & REinfection EvaluatioN)

Impact of detectable anti-SARS-COV2 on the subsequent incidence of COVID-19 in healthcare workers

Project Summary

SIREN is an NIHR urgent public health priority study which aims to determine if prior SARS-CoV-2 infection in health care workers confers future immunity to re-infection.

It will also allow us to estimate the prevalence of SARS-CoV-2 infection in healthcare workers and use this information to determine wider staff testing.

NHS staff are asked to provide regular swabs (fortnightly) for PCR testing and blood samples (monthly) for serology testing.
