Batterham Laboratory

Rachel Batterham Lab is internationally renowned for leading the field of gut hormone research. Ongoing research programmes combine basic science with studies in healthy human volunteers and people living with obesity and type 2 diabetes. The goal of this research is to understand the pathophysiology of obesity and type 2 diabetes in order to identify new preventative and therapeutic strategies.
