The department undertakes world- class leading basic and translational research that impacts upon diagnosis, understanding and treatment of human disease.
One of our fundamental aims is to educate, train and inspire the next generation of scientists and doctors. Our teaching programmes are highly regarded worldwide and graduates have an impressive employment rate with approximately 90% of alumni in employment or further studies six months after graduation.
