Come and learn more about Aramaic, the lingua franca of the Ancient Near East, which has existed for thousands of years. It has left a lasting imprint on the world through archaeological material, religious writings (including certain biblical texts), prayers and some surviving spoken dialects.
Join us for a brief exploration of this fascinating language with Hannah Raymond, a doctoral researcher at UCL focusing on women's literacy in the Ancient Near East.
The event is part of a series connected to the showcase Not Just Words: Learning Languages Through Art and Objects.
