Will chantry

Research assistant

Will has been working at the European Institute since summer 2019, when he was brought in as a UCL Laidlaw Scholar to help conduct a research project on the effectiveness of GDPR one year on and the future of EU-U.S. data flows, supervised by Oliver Patel. During this time, he conducted literature reviews of the two respective areas and helped arrange and conduct interviews with key European stakeholders in Brussels.

Will has continued working for the EI beyond the requirements of the Laidlaw programme, assisting with the write-up of this research and another project examining the business impacts of different data flow deals between the EU and the UK. Will also supports European Institute in-house events.

Outside of the EI, Will is a second-year Geography student with a keen interest in Urban Geography.
