Research and Policy Engagement Associate
Clément is a Brexit specialist at the UCL European Institute. He is responsible for matters related to Brexit, coordinating the dissemination of research, curating events, and managing the UCL Brexit Hub and the UCL Brexit Blog.
Clément works jointly for for the European Institute and the Office of the Vice-Provost Research, as a Research and Policy Engagement Associate. His goal is to ensure that UCL cross-disciplinary expertise informs policy on Brexit in the UK and beyond.
Clément’s particular areas of expertise include diplomacy and EU economic policies as he has worked on Brexit at the French Embassy in London prior to his appointment and on EU economic policies at the French Ministry for Foreign Affairs in Paris. He also worked on the EU budget negotiations at the French Ministry for the Economy. His interest for international relations and European affairs was driven by experiences abroad such as the French Embassy in Australia and by completing the European Master of Public Administration with Sciences Po Paris and Corvinus University of Budapest.
Clément holds an MSc in Public Affairs (distinction) and a BA in Political Sciences (distinction) from Sciences Po Paris.
