Research summary
My research focuses on socioeconomic inequalities in colorectal cancer (CRC) screening uptake. This programme of work has included an emphasis on public understanding of cancer screening, engagement with information and invitation materials, attitudes and preferences towards the different testing modalities and the acceptability and patient experience of participation in colorectal cancer screening.
Teaching summary
MSc convenor for the MSc Cancer and MSc Health psychology programmes
I lead the Behavioural Science in Cancer module as part of the MSc in Cancer.
On the MSc Health Psychology I am one of the core members of staff which includes interviewing prospective students, contributing to the shape of the programme, lecturing, assessment, academic tutoring and dissertation supervision.
Graduate tutor
Together with Dr Abi Fisher I will lead the PhD program within the new Research Department of Behavioural Science and Health.
PhD supervision
I am currently supervising two students (one as primary, one as secondary). Robert Kerrison passed his upgrade and is preparing his thesis submission. I am also a secondary supervisor of Monica Koo (2nd Year student of Yoryos Lyratzopoulos).
