The way research evidence makes its way into policy is the focus of a new look podcast from the research team at the ESRC International Centre for Lifecourse Studies.

The research centre's long-running podcast has been renamed The Lifecourse Podcast and this week launched on the iTunes platform.

In the latest episode features Libby Webb (formerly of ICLS now at Age UK) and Anthony Laverty from Imperial College London discuss the evidence they submitted the Older Person's bus pass inquiry, and their responses to the recent Government announcement that the pass' future is secure for the foreseeable future.

The Lifecourse Podcast is produced and edited by former BBC radio journalist Chris Garrington, who said:

"There is so much important lifecourse research emerging from centres like ICLS and The Lifecourse Podcast plays an important role in helping people see how that evidence makes a difference to policy and ultimately to ordinary people's lives. The interviews are designed to be of interest to anyone interested in what is key to how we grow up and age as healthily as possible."
