- “The Mood and Health Study”. This study explores how experiences of depression differ in those with and without chronic physical illness through qualitative interviews and a systematic review of qualitative studies. This will be used to contextualise analyses of existing cohort studies. Rachael Frost is a collaborator on this ESRC-funded project led by Lydia Poole.
- “Transforming the mental health treatment of children and young people with epilepsy”. This study is developing and evaluating a new psychological treatment for childhood anxiety, depression and behavioural problems in children with epilepsy by taking an existing treatment (the Modular Approach to Treatment for Children - Anxiety, Depression, Trauma or Conduct (MATCH-ADTC)) and making it epilepsy specific. Focus groups of children and young people and health professionals working in epilepsy services were conducted in the development phase and interviews with the patients receiving the intervention will be conducted during the trial of the new intervention. This is programme grant is led by professor Roz Shafran at the UCL Institute of child Health supported by Jamie Ross and funded by the NIHR.
